Hello there, if your on this page then there is a very good chance you have interest in working with or being part of ‘The Focus Project’, which to be honest is Excellent.We spend practically everyday looking for enthusiastic contributors and practitioners to work with and to help out. So, from here you can do three things:
1. If you want to make a general enquiry about the website or it’s content feel free to leave us a comment on the pages or contact us via our e-mail ‘mail@thefocusproject.co.uk’,
2.The main reason for this page is for practitioners and contributors, which as I will explain are two very different things. If you are a practitioner (for instance a photographer/film-maker/model/ scriptwriter) who has an idea for a project i.e a script writer who has a script but no one to direct it, act within it etc you can contact us and if we like the idea or suggestion, we’ll find people for you to collaborate with. We are in the creative industry as a collective and as such have access to various models, directors etc who are just itching to work with new people and on exciting or interesting projects.
3.Now contributors are people who are looking for an audience for their work, usually just entering the creative industry and we want to help them get their work out there. We do this in many ways such as the photo-blog, posting their films here etc however we require that every contributor participate on a collaboration with a focus member before we post anything about their work. This isn’t to be awkward, this rule exists because ‘Focus’ has a very specific etiquette and only want serious practitioners and not just serious but prolific. We have seen to many people who say they’re photographers and film makers yet they refuse to contribute to working with ‘The Focus Project’ and produce no work of their own to speak of .
So if you’re itching to get working or get your work out there send us a line using one of the forms below! Do give us one favour though- when you fill in the box entitled ‘SUBJECT’ type the medium of your work, for instance models please type MODEL within that box and Photographers type PHOTOGRAPHY etc it just makes it easier to handle your e-mails and for your requests and ideas get to the right people within focus.
